School In A Perfect World

For me, school is okay. Like most kids in middle school, I'm not a huge fan of the education and the learning aspect of school. But I love the social part of it. I love my friends and I honestly don't know where I would be without them. School is a great get-away from home, but it's not perfect.

If I could create a perfect school, or modify the middle school, I would change quite a few things. To start off, I ould make online classes available. It's not fair how if you go on vacation, or family things, or really anything, how you have a bunch to make-up without knowing what your missing. So many kids fall behind in their classes beacause of this. I especially, fall behind in math and don't understand how to do any of it when i get back.

This leads into my next thing that I would change; having teachers available at all times. I think that kids are often to nervous to ask for help in front of other kids because they are scared that they will feel stupid. Students, including myslef, are a lot more comfortable asking questions one-on-one with a teacher, so I think that they schould have this option rather than just pretending to understand then failing.

So, my next thing is the times in the classes and in between classes. I don't think that we get enough time inbetween classes. We get, like what... Four minutes? The hallways are crowded, the lockers are hard to open, and the class rooms area scattered all aroud the school. It takes longer than four minutes for some people to get from class to class.

One last thing I will say for a perfect school, is no homework. I did the math. We are here for a little over six hours. We do our work, and we go from class to class. Then, we go home and do more work. I don't htink that is fair. Especially for people who have after school activities. A lot of kids have sports, music related things, girl scouts, that sort of thing. And that takes up a lot of our already busy day spent at school. Then there is the whole aspect of sleep. Kids say sleep isn't important. the adults in our lives come back with saying sleep is a VERY important thing. They teach us in school that sleep is super important tnd that we need to get at lease 8-9 hours every night. Then they pile homework on us. I think that whatever we didn't finish that day, should just be carried on into the next days class.

So, those are my ideas for a perfect school. (:
